The final week of action in the regular season saw some exciting action with Louisville winning the championship in a tough tussle with Vanderbilt.

We will choose the 20 players who will represent the Cleveland Rocky Top League this evening and let every one know by email if they have been selected for the squad and what you availability for the games next Saturday at Maryville College will be.

The Cleveland squad will play at 11 and 12.

I will also update the final scoring leaders and choose the all-league squad for the league.

Marquette 92

Florida 77

Tyler Skidmore (Meigs County) popped the twine for 23 points and Jamal Worthington (Bledsoe County) banged 12 points in the final stanza to finish with 18 and help lead Marquette to a big 92-77 victory over Florida in the fourth place game at the Cleveland Rocky Top League.

Skidmore also dropped 10 in the final half thwarting a big effort from Preston Russell (Tellico Plains) who did his best to bring Florida back with double digits in the second half. Russell finished with 23 to lead the way for Florida.

Cameron Colverd (Bledsoe County) and Carter Clark (Rhea County) finished with17 and 16 respectively for Marquette in the win.

Robert Vandervolt (Tellico Plains) scored 19 points and was joined in the Florida books by Tim Webb (McMinn Central) who added 15 in the loss.

UConn 67

Auburn 64

D.J. Bowles (Cleveland) missed a game tying three at the buzzer and UConn escaped with a 67-64 win over Auburn to capture third place at the Cleveland Rocky Top League.

Bowles, who finished with 22 points, did all he could to lead his squad back but came up short on his last second effort.

Brett Barton (Cleveland) was the young man in charge, scoring 13 points in the final half and finishing with a game high 24 points for UConn.

"Big" Mack Singh (Rhea County) added 17 points and Hunter Daniels (Rhea County) finished with 14 points in the win.

Stevie Sharp (Rhea County) added 11 for Auburn.

Tennessee 87

Syracuse 70

Nick Ross (Red Bank) continued his dominance of the Cleveland Rocky Top League netting 38 points and walking away with the MVP as Tennessee bested Syracuse 87-70 to capture second place in the final standings.

Ross finished with 8 three's and after Rondez Mee (Cleveland), who finished with 22 points, helped cut the lead to single digits, the aforementioned Ross, simply said "Not on my watch" and drained a final deep shot to end the threat.

Nick Ellis (Notre Dame) added 12 points for Tennessee in the win.

Louisville 65

Vanderbilt 48

Drew Zaleta (Walker Valley) provided the offense with 26 markers and Darien Johnson (Bradley Central) was the heart and soul as Louisville, playing as a team like they have done all season, overcame a late Vanderbilt push to take the crown as the first champion of the Cleveland Rocky Top League.

Tevin Rutledge (Cleveland) made a big push for Vanderbilt in the third cutting a 20 point halftime deficit to 10, but the overall fundamental style of the Louisville squad proved to be too much in the end.

Levi Woods (Meigs County) finished with 12 points in the win.

Hunter Chastain (Bradley Central) led Vanderbilt with 18 points. Rutledge finished with 13 and Jervon Johnson (Ooltewah) added 11 points.
