The D-League is underway. We now have two weeks in the book and here are some game capsules catching everyone up with what has happened the past two Thursdays in Knoxville.
Team Garner 79
Team Boals 69
Spencer Boshears (Campbell County) led a group of four double digits scorers with 17 as Team Garner came away with the 79-69 victory over Team Boals in the opening game of the new Rocky Top D-League featuring players from the Classes of 2021 and 2022 exclusively.
The balanced effort countered two very solid offensive performances from Eric Rivers (McCallie) and Tyler Peel (McMinn County) who each dropped 26 markers in the loss.
Joining Boshears in the scoring column were Walker Kyle (Bearden) and Carter Metz (Cherokee) with 12 each and Noah Chapman (Powell) who finished with 11.
Trey Hamilton (McCallie) added 10 in the losing cause.
Team Holt 66
Team Brickhouse/Dalton 65
Isaiah Bredwood (Bearden) dropped 16 points as Team Holt lost a 20 plus point lead in the second half but hung on for the 66-65 win over Team Brickhouse/Dalton.
Ryan Neal (Knoxville West) added 15 for the victors.
Jackson Garner (Clinton) led all scorers in the tough loss with 19. He was followed closely by Brady Luttrell (Kingston) with 13 and the duo of Lane Harrison (Clinton) and Colby Reimer (Kingston) with 10 each.
Team Gregory 75
Team Chandler 72
Harper Neal (Kingston) scored a game high 21 points as Team Gregory snatched victory from the jaws of defeat with a come from behind 75-72 win over Team Chandler.
Blake Bowers (Pigeon Forge) finished with 14 in the win along with 12 from Corey Bohannon (Pigeon Forge) and 10 from Tanner Robinson (Pigeon Forge).
Isaiah Smith (Farragut) led Team Chandler with 19 in the loss. Hayden Llewellyn (Jellico) finished with 14 while Dillon Atwell (Farragut) and John Sheringham (Knoxville Catholic) closed with 11 each.
Team Flemming 60
Team White 44
Bryson Boles (Rockwood) dropped 16 as Team Flemming got off to a rousing start blasting Team White 60-44. Jack Brown (First Baptist Academy) and Carter Mayfield (Farragut) finished with 10 each in the win.
Cade Standifer (Bearden) was the lone player for Team White to finish with double digits as he tallied 13 in the loss.

Brady Luttrell (Kingston) led his squad with 20 in the loss followed closely by Jackson Garner (Clinton) with 18.
Team Boals looks to extend their win streak to 2 next Thursday as they battle Team Gregory (1-1) while Team Brickhouse/Dalton (0-2) looks to right the ship against Team White (1-1) fresh off their first victory of the season.

Jake Wallace (Farragut) led a very low scoring affair with 10 points as Team Garner stayed unbeaten at 2-0 with a narrow defeat of Team Holt (1-1).
Will Biven (Knoxville West) led all scorers with 16 in the tough loss.
Team Garner (2-0) puts their unblemished record on the line this Thursday against Team Chandler (0-2) while Team Holt (1-1) looks to get back to their winning ways against another unbeaten in Team Flemming (2-0).

Tristan Warfield (Grainger) was the big man on campus scoring 19 points as Team White came up with their first win of the season with a 66-50 triumph over Team Gregory (1-1).
Luke Lentz (Bearden) added 14, Cade Standifer (Bearden) closed with 12 and Denias Munsey (Bearden) ended with 10 for the victors.
Quinton Carr (South Doyle) dropped 17 for Team Gregory in the loss while Harper Neal (Kingston) added 12.
Team White (1-1) puts their winning streak on the line this Thursday against Team Brickhouse/Dalton (0-2). Team Gregory (1-1) looks to right the ship against a surging Team Boals (1-1).

Bryson Boles (Rockwood) dropped 22 points as Team Flemming stayed unbeaten with a 74-71 win over a determined Team Chandler.
Jack Brown (First Baptist Academy) and Trey Morrow (Scott) finished with 11 each in the win.
Hayden Llewellyn (Jellico) led all scorers with 23 while McKinley Tincher (Dobyns-Bennett) closed with 16 in the tough loss.
Team Flemming (2-0) looks to stay among the ranks of the unbeaten as they take on Team Holt (1-1) this Thursday. Team Chandler (0-2) has lost two close games and they will be looking to reverse that trend as the welcome unbeaten Team Garner (2-0).
