Manassas Star Has Eyes On the Record Book

Friday night Manassas tangles with City University in a Class A game that probably won't get much attention from the local media.

However, the first time Ole Miss signee Reginald Buckner (Manassas) blocks an opponents shot he will be making Tennessee history.

The 6'8 Buckner has positioned himself into the state record books sitting tied at the moment with former Melrose great Michael Wilson for all time blocked shots.

Buckner tied the record this Tuesday against Middleton recording 7 blocks and has 102 on the season thus far.

The mark sits at 594 and Buckner is poised to put this mark way out of reach before he is done.

The single game mark is 15 with Wilson and former Belmont player Boomer Herndon tied for that mark.

So pay close attention as history is made in Memphis this Friday night.

Congrats Big Buck and now your task at hand will be leading your Manassas squad back to the 'boro come March......good luck.
