Hoop Seen Tennessee Preview “My Top 7 Performers”

HOOP SEEN TENNESSEE PREVIEW (LAVERGNE HIGH SCHOOL)

TOP PERFORMERS FROM THESE EYES

The inaugural Hoop Seen Tennessee Preview was a major success as 70 players crowded the Laverne High School gym for passionate instruction and play. I was fortunate enough to be in attendance and contribute to the overall evaluation process. Here are my top 7 performers from the event.

Evan Eursher (Lighthouse Christian)

5'10 PG 2023

This kid has the gift, he plays at such a wonderful pace, he scores when needed, he attacks at the right time, his shot is very good and he makes everyone around him better. He's small but has a powerful build, he attack potential defenders, he likes to guard, keep a close eye on this one.

Isaiah Jones (East Nashville)

6'6 WF 2021

Long and lean, this kid has a multitude of skills just waiting to be unleashed. He can run the floor, he scores at every level and he smiles all the time. He tends to over dribble and his shot selection can be in question at times. He is skilled however and once he matures even more his game will speak for itself.

Jalen Page (Blackman)

6'5 WF 2020

His leadership skills are off the charts, he talks during games and skill work. He wants everyone around him to compete and he takes this role seriously. His skill level is emerging and has for several years, his shot is getting better and his defense work is where he will grow the most.

Jarrod Taylor (East Nashville)

6'1 PG 2023

This kid was a rock solid player who used his compact body to make things happen. A bulldog who fought for every possession and was a beast on the defensive end of the floor. His shot needs some mechanical tweaking but he does not lack confidence in his efforts. This kid is a winner and I look forward to watching him progress.

Raymon Adams (Lipscomb Academy)

6'7 WF 2021

Upon first glance, I remarked to myself, how could I never have seen this kid. Long and super athletic, he showed some serious offensive skills going to the basket, his shooting touch was good and despite wishing to spin way too much, he got to the basket for buckets with ease.

Jaylen Pegues (Hillsboro)

6'0 PG 2021

This kid just has a different feel about his game. He can score off the dribble or knock down the outside shot, he handles so well that he makes plays for others with ease. He attacks the basket, he sees the floor and if he adds some strength he will be devastating and very hard to guard.

Kaleb Powell (Beech)

6'3 SG 2021

Talk about coming out of nowhere this kid was the one who caught my eye every time he played on this floor. His size is solid for a two guard, he showed a deep range on his shot and flicked it with confidence. he went hard to the cup and hit the floor for loose balls. This showcase was a coming out party for this kid, no doubt.
