Let's catch up shall we. This has been a whirlwind month and I realize not much information has been published on the site but now that things are kicking off again you stay glued to here and we will have updates as often as possible from all over the places that I roam.
NBPA Top 100 Camp
This was the first year in the last eight that I did not attend the NBPA Top 100 camp. Leron Black (White Station) and Jalen Lindsey (CPA) got plenty of headlines for their efforts in Charlottesville.
Pilot Rocky Top Basketball League
We finished our sixth season of the Pilot Rocky Top Basketball League. Former Carter phenom and current ETSU player Lester Wilson was named Most Improved Player and finished as one of the leagues top scorers. Look for big things from the "Action Figure" this season.
Branden Wright/Penny Collins Camp
I had the pleasure of speaking to some of the top players in the Nashville area at the Branden Wright/Penny Collins Camp at Brentwood Academy. I truly enjoyed the experience and got to watch a little ball as the older guys showed the young ‘uns what was up...
Adidas Invitational
July is here and I am gearing up for my trip to Indianapolis. Its fitting that the open period starts where basketball thrives in the Hoosier state. I will be at the adidas Invitational on Thursday till its conclusion and hope to slip away and catch a few games at the Hoosier Shootout as well.
Peach Jam
In the second week, Augusta is the destination of choice as the annual Peach Jam tips off. One of the best events of any summer, I will also try to make it over and catch some of our squads at the various events in the Augusta/Aiken area.
Orlando?
Still up in the air about Orlando as a work conflict may come into play. I will know more as the days play out.
Knoxville, Nashville and Cleveland Fall Leagues
Fall Leagues will be tipping at the end of August in Knoxville and Cleveland. Nashville will follow soon after and we may even be looking at starting one in the Jackson area. Stay tuned.
Carson Newman Showcase (September 29th)
Our Tennessee Prep Hoops Rankings and Exposure Showcase for East Tennessee is scheduled for September 29th at Carson Newman College. Fall League players will get a discount to attend so I encourage everyone to make this event, it is one of our best.
Nashville Showcase (Dates to come)
We are looking at dates for the Tennessee Prep Hoops Rankings and Exposure Showcase in the Nashville area and as soon as details are ready we will have it here.
