Winning their pool and another game in bracket play before falling to a tough Shining Stars squad definetely gave the Tennessee Tigers the confidence they need to make a nice run this July.

The Shining Stars game saw Cory Stanton (Springfield) continue his meteroic rise to the top of the dry erase boards of mid-major programs all over the Southeast.  (Thats where they keep track of potential recruits).

Stanton led the Tigers with 19 and Carter Sanderson (Lipscomb) added 14.

The Tigers got contribution from their entire roster with scoring from Blake Bell (Lipscomb) and  David Sanders (MLK), who contributed 6 and 9 points in the loss.

Defensive efforts were the norm for this collection of winners. Dezmond Johnson (Overton), Matthew Powell (Lipscomb) and Michael Bradley (Tyner Academy) all had outstanding efforts on the tough end of the floor. Bradley finished with 8 rebounds.

Also getting quality minutes for the Tigers were Reggie Rucker (Hillwood), Mykal Titlow (Greenback) and Taylor Cummings (MLK).
