McAfee Leads Camp Team into Semi-Final

The perfect place to show what you can do.

The 17th annual NBPA Top 100 Players Camp is the ideal spot to show the throngs on on-hand media and the special people who cover this event that you indeed are a player to be reckoned with.

Cedric McAfee (Melrose) took these ideas to heart and put together his best camp effort to date helping lead his unbeaten Lakers squad into the semi-finals this afternoon.

McAfee was big scoring a game high 15 points including a deep three at the halftime buzzer. He is being used at the point and is progressing nicely in that arena. His defensive effort has been sterling and consistent.

In last night win over the camps other unbeaten squad, Ced scored his then camp high 7 points but you can see the confidence level rising with every step on the hardwood.

Jarnell Stokes (Memphis Central) continues to be a huge attraction netting 14 points in the late game yesterday evening and another 12 points this morning.

‘Mighty" Chris Jones (Melrose) is again at his scoring best dropping 13 points last night and adding 10 in a big semi-final win this morning.

Alex Poythress (Clarksville Northeast) turned in his best camp performance scoring 10 points including some clutch foul shots as his Hornets squad pulled the playoffs first upset over a #3 seed.

Jordan Price (McCallie) tied his camp high yesterday evening with a six point effort.

Scoring averages for the Tennessee players in the camp:

Chris Jones 11.4
