Hendricks Shot Moves East Literature Into the Semis….Bolivar Moves On

Cheau Hendricks (East Literature) took over a close game in the fourth quarter including a driving lay-up at the buzzer lifting the Eagles of East Literature past Livingston Academy in the day's first AA quarterfinal 63-62.

Hendricks, who finished with 16 points, took over a close game late scoring on four straight possessions including the game winner.

Hendricks converted a lay-up to put the Eagles up 61-60 before Mason Ramsey (Livingston Academy) hit two foul shots and giving the Wildcats a 62-61 lead before even more Hendricks heroics.

Joining Hendricks in the scoring column, Aaron Booker (East Literature) added 14 points and Chris Willingham (East Literature) finished with 13.

Jake Huitt (Livingston Academy) led all scorers with 21 in the loss. Logan Ramsey (Livingston Academy) added 17 and Mason finished with 13 markers.


Bolivar Central 82

Stone Memorial 76

Tre Polk (Bolivar Central) led five double digits scorers for the Tigers with 19 points and moved Bolivar into the semi-finals and a date with East Literature on Friday.

Polk was deadly from the mid-range and scored in a variety of methods to accumulate his points.

Brandon Cole (Stone Memorial) was a workhorse on the interior as the Panthers kept the game close throughout.

Cole finished with 28 points and Robert Troino (Stone Memorial) added 16 in the tough loss.

Joining Polk for the Tigers were O'Neal Woods (Bolivar Central) and DeAndre McKinnie (Bolivar Central) both with 16 points, Tyler Price (Bolivar Central) with 12 and Fabian Sain (Bolivar Central) with 11 markers.
