Duvall Devastating in Week #3 of TPH Nashville Fall League



Week #3 was competitive with some great performances and some young players really showing out in the process.


North Carolina 77

Wake Forest 69

Joshua Joy (DCA) led a host of double digit scorers as North Carolina raised their season mark to 2-1 with a 77-69 win over previously unbeaten Wake Forest.


Joy, who finished with 15, was assisted in the scoring column by Coleman Spann (CPA) with 14, Hunter Culp (Camden Central) with 12, Dee Oldham (Wilson Central) with 11 and Tyler Soffiantino (Wilson Central) with 10.


Will Clayton (Harpeth) led Wake Forest with 17 points followed closely by Braxton Bonds (CPA), Brad McClung (Station Camp) and Rickie Bowser (Franklin Classical) all with 12 markers.



Florida 89

Clemson 78

Easton Cline (Station Camp) led a group of five teammates in double digits as Florida climbed to 2-1 knocking off previously unblemished Clemson 89-78 in Tennessee Prep Hoops Nashville Fall League action this past Saturday at CPA.


Cline, finished with 17, followed closely by Chance Bouldin (FRA) with 14, Caleb Chowbay (Mt. Juliet) with 13, Parker Howell (CPA) with 12 and rising freshman Jalen Duke (MLK) with 11.


Clemson was led by Cameron Gordon (Shelbyville) with 24 points, while Kessler Bell (FRA) added 22 and Donya Burnette (Riverdale) finished with 20, all in the second half.



Tennessee 96

LSU 72

Braxton Blackwell (CPA) was simply outstanding dropping 22 points as Tennessee raced past LSU 96-72.


Blackwell, a rising 8th grader, played a wonderful floor game getting everyone involved as well as scoring.


Billy Hughes (Hunter's Lane) added 17 in the big win. Mason Delatour (Pearl Cohn) and Army commitment Kyle Weldon (Rossview) finished with 14 and 12 respectively.


Jacob Saunders (Cheatham County) led LSU with 18 points. He was followed closely by Caymon Dial (LaVergne) and Ben Williams (White's Creek) who both finished with 17 points in the loss.



Duke 97

Georgia Tech 90

Asa Duvall (Brentwood) notched 26 points leading an extremely Duke scoring session and a 97-90 victory over Georgia Tech for their initial victory of the young season.


Joining Duvall in the scoring ledger Austin Gee (Ezell-Harding) and Jordan Bedwell (White House-Heritage) each with 16 markers, Ethan "The Elevator" Hurt (Harpeth) with 15, Omari Moore (Pearl Cohn) with 12 and Sam Rhoten (Goodpasture) with 10 points.


The combined scoring effort overcame a game high 29 points from Belmont commitment Craig Bradshaw (CPA).


Christian Haile (Shelbyville) added 20 while Duncan Smith (MBA) and T.J. Reese (Harpeth) each finished with 11 points.



Kentucky 92

Vanderbilt 66

Rob Marberry (FRA) and Zach Hodskins (Ravenwood) scored 25 and 20 respectively as Kentucky pulled out a big 92-66 victory over a depleted Vanderbilt squad.


Nathan Watkins (Ensworth) added 19 points in his first game for Kentucky.


Jaime Lloyd (Harpeth) led Vanderbilt with 14 points. Cham Cham Quao (Webb School) added 13 in the loss.
