Week #11 Scoring Leaders Close Out the Regular Season

jalensmith.jpg

Once again I have scoured the newspapers, faxes, face books and other forms of media that come to my attention compiling a list of the top scorers in the state for each week of the season.

If you know of some scoring exploits or a scoring milestone such as 1,000 point club or something of that nature please email me at andre@tnprephoops.com and I will get this added to the next week's story.

College coaches have told me this is one of their favorite features as it helps them get an understanding on the pulse of the new season.

The final scoring list for the regular season is here. The next scoring list will encompass the district schedule followed by the region, sub-state and the state finals in Murfreesboro.

Chase Arnold (Sullivan North) is the new king of the hill at Sullivan North. The senior forward surpassed the 2,000 point barrier last week and is now the schools
all-time leader in scoring and rebounding.

McKenzie Etheridge (Waverly Central) achieved his milestone this past week as the senior guard shot past the 1,000 point barrier for the Tigers.

D'Monta Smith (Hixson) moved into elite company surpassing the 1,500 point mark for the Wildcats of Hixson.

Zak Carter (Hardin Valley) moved on past the 1,000 point mark in this his junior season for the Hawks of Hardin Valley.

Jordan Hall (Lenoir City) s closing out the season very strong. The Lee University signee put up a slick 31 in a rivalry victory over county for Loudon.

Jalen Smith (Rhea County) has put together an outstanding senior campaign. The shooting guard dropped 41 markers against Cleveland.

Jequan Lewis (Dickson County) is rising to the top of the scoring charts as his senior season winds down. The VCU signee dangled 43 points in a district victory over Northwest.

Marquel Hickerson (Tullahoma) may be someone a lot of you are not familiar with but his scoring exploits have been common on this list. The senior guard continued his scoring prowess dropping 32 against Lawrence County.
