Weather Slows Everyones Roll as Week #3 Scoring Leaders are Revealed

marcanvishymon.jpg

Once again I have scoured the newspapers, faxes, twitters and other forms of media that come to my attention compiling a list of the top scorers in the state for each week of the season.

If you know of some scoring exploits or a scoring milestone such as 1,000 point club or something of that nature please email me at andre@tnprephoops.com and I will get this added to the next week’s story.

If you know of someone who scored over 25 points and they did not make the list please let me know and I will add them to the following weeks list.

College coaches have told me this is one of their favorite features as it helps them get an understanding on the pulse of the new season.

Weather held up a lot of the games in the Middle and Western parts of the state.

Tramon Moore (Northwest) has been turning some heads in the Clarksville area with his scoring exploits. The senior guard notched 32 against Rossview and nailed 22 in a tough game against rival Northeast.

Skylar Farrar (McMinn Central) is lighting it up for the Chargers this season. He has notched several games over 30 points including a 31 point effort this past week against Sweetwater. Farrar also dropped 19 in a tough loss to unbeaten Knoxville Webb.

Drew Danesworth (Waverly Central) has been a shining light for the Tigers this season. He dropped 38 in a big win over rival Camden Central and has the Tigers unbeaten on the young season.

Marcanvis Hymon (Whitehaven) dropped 31 in an early week game against Douglass. The weather played havoc with the schedule in the West Tennessee area with little to no action on Friday and Saturday.

Cole West (Oneida) is scoring points at a monster pace over the mountain in Oneida. The rising senior notched 28 in a win over the Knoxville Ambassadors. The then added to his burgeoning point total with 25 in a win over Oakdale. West passed the 2,000 point plateau last season.

Patrick Good (David Crockett) is one of the best rising sophomores in the state. His efforts this week bear this out as he notched 20 in a victory over Sullivan Central then closed the week with 32 in a tough district win over Daniel Boone

Brian Dempsey (Johnson County) is turning heads in Upper East Tennessee with efforts like his 33 point production against Sullivan East.
