Some things always remain the same, the Memphis YOMCA finished Session #3 of the EYBL at 4-1. This time however their cross-state counterpart also came to play and finished 4-1 themselves.

The Tennessee Travelers came into the final session of the EYBL determined to show they belonged and after learning they had fallen one game short of qualifying for the Nike Peach Jam they had no reason whatsoever to hang their collective heads.

Making some roster changes in the past couple of weeks seems to have energized the Travelers and they came into Los Angeles more than ready to play.

Craig Bradshaw (CPA) led with 21 points as the Travelers opened up EYBL action with a 72-68 victory over Seattle Rotary. Bradshaw, who was moved to the point for this event, really led a recharged effort with his hustle and unselfishness.

Shannon Hale (Science Hill) added 15 points in the win, while a pair of freshman Jalen Lindsey (CPA) and Rob Marberry (FRA) added 11 points each. Montrae Williams (Spring Hill) finished with 10 markers in the win.

Hale banged out 18 and Bradshaw finished with 16 as the Travelers fell in a tough one 75-73 to the King James Shooting Stars. Williams added 13 and Carson Brooks (Knoxville West) finished with 12 points.

Darryl Hicks (Kentucky) played EYBL superstar scoring 28 points leading the Travelers past Albany City Rocks 79-70. Brooks added 12 in the win, while Hale finished with 11 points and 9 boards.

Hicks banged home 23, Hale 17, Lindsey 13 and Bradshaw added 11 as the Travelers moved to 3-1 with a nice 78-63 victory over Each 1, Teach 1.

Victim #4 the Louisiana Select felt the wrath of Hicks and his 21 markers. Hale added 12, Bradshaw 11 and Jaylen Allen (Science Hill) finished with 10.

Coaches praised the efforts of Hale, Bradshaw, Brooks and Williams and were quick to point out the contributions of Marberry and James Scales (Cherokee).

A forfeit over Mean Streets is how things began for the Memphis YOMCA in Session #3 of the Nike EYBL. Jarnell Stokes (Memphis Central) dropped 24 points as the YOMCA slipped by All Ohio Red 69-67 in their second game of the event. Shaq Goodwin (Georgia) finished with 11 points and Martavious Newby (BTW) added 10.

Anthlon Bell (Bartlett) led with 15 points but the YOMCA fell for only the second time in EYBL action 62-57 to the Mac Irvin Fire from Illinois. Sam Craft (Craigmont) finished with 11 points and Stokes added 10.

Stokes finished with 19, Bell with 12 and Goodwin added 11 as the YOMCA finished with a 70-64 victory over Team Final.

69-59 read the tally after the YOMCA concluded Session #3 at 4-1 with a victory over The Family. Stokes broke out with 24 points while Newby added 19 and Goodwin finished with 12
