What a nice way to start the most important month of the summer.

The Tennessee Travelers 15 and under squad made a nice run at the title but fell just short falling to the always tough Wisconsin Playground Warriors 77-65 in semi-final action yesterday at the Hoosier Shootout in Indianapolis.

The Travelers got to the semis with a couple of nice wins against the Birmingham Storm and the St. Louis Majestics.

Craig "The Professor" Bradshaw (Greenbrier) was once again the steady hand for the Travs. Jaylen Allen (Science Hill) stepped up big the entire tourney showing leadership and is getting more accustomed to the lead guard spot.

Also sighted for their play in the backcourt Tanner Torres (Anderson County) and Braylen"Vitamin B" Bennett (Knoxville Carter).

Inside and on the wing the Travs counted on the athletic play of Cory Nelson (Grace Christian) and he did not disappoint.

Matt Shown (Alcoa) and Cody Malicote (Campbell County) both had their moments and played solid throughout the event.
