The NBA Draft took to the podium this evening and three of our former high school stars were selected in the two round extravaganza.

In the first round the Portland Trailblazers selected former Memphis guard Elliot Williams (St. George's) with the 22nd pick. Williams started his college career at Duke but transferred to Memphis where he garnered Conference USA honors.

In the second round with the 36th pick the Detroit Pistons selected former Ole Miss ALL-SEC guard Terrico White (Craigmont). White is a former Class AAA Mr. Basketball selection and is entering the draft after his sophomore season in college.

With the 41st pick in the second round the Portland Trailblazers select the NCAA All-Time blocked shot leader and former Mississippi State ALL-SEC center Jarvis Varnado (Haywood County).
