The West is the Best at the BCAT/TACA All-Star Clash

Sitting in the stands for the second annual BCAT/TACA All-Star game this morning, I couldn't help but reflect on the magnitude of emotions I was feeling right then and there.

This is the final time I will be seeing some of my friends playing high school basketball.

For some reason this class more than any other brought me some outstanding memories and some relationships with some truly outstanding young men.

Mitchell Hill, Ronald Brown, Tyler Hood, Thomas Greer, Cory Stanton, Emmanuel Andrews, Teraes Clemmons, Damarius Smith and all the players in the game today let me say I have enjoyed covering you the last four seasons and I wish all of you outstanding success as you venture into your college basketball careers.

132-120.

Yes that was the final score as the West behind very balanced scoring overcame a tough East comeback to pull away with the victory.

Chris Crawford (Sheffield) led with 20, A.J. Cunningham (Cordova) pitched in with 18, the Ridgeway duo of Marterrace Brock (Ridgeway) and Kris Brewer (Ridgeway) both dropped 17 and Jarekious Bradley (Memphis East) added 14.

Tyler Hood (Lenoir City) led all scorers with 22 and Emmanuel Andrews (Shelbyville) finished with 21 to lead the East squad.
