West Tennessee Game of the Week
Joe Jackson (White Station) quieted all the naysayers dropping 35 points and leading the Spartans to an 80-63 rematch victory against district rival Ridgeway in the West Tennessee Game of the Week.
The game was a rematch of the AAA state championship game from last season won by the Roadrunners.
The win moves The Station to 11-4 overall and 4-0 in district 15AAA. Ferrakohn Hall (White Station) was huge in the contest scoring 21 and sophomore Andre Hollins (White Station) added 15.
Tarik Black (Ridgeway) led the Roadrunners, who now stand at 13-4 on the young season, with 16. Freshman Cameron Golden (Ridgeway) added 15.
Middle Tennessee Game of the Week
Kerry Hammonds (Siegel) dropped 18 and helped lead the Stars of Siegel to an impressive 57-48 district victory against nemesis Oakland. The win givesSiegel the upper hand in district 7AAA and brings their season mark to 10-4. Dominick Nicholas (Siegel) added 15 in the win.
Jamal Hughes (Oakland) led all scorers with 27.
East Tennessee Game of the Week
Josh Odom (Science Hill) scored 23 and his backcourt mate Chris Smith (Science Hill) added 22 as the Hilltoppers put the keibosh on a five game losing streak to the Indians with a 72-70 victory last friday night.
Dustin McConnell (Dobyns Bennett) was high scorer for the Indians with 18. Jordan Edwards (Dobyns Bennett) and Justin Sylvester (Dobyns Bennett) finished with 15 and 13 respectively in the loss.
