Dreams can come true.
Jalen Steele (Fulton) had always
dreamed of one day playing in the SEC. After receiving lukewarm interest before
this summer his mission was to make himself a recruit able SEC athlete.
The rising senior after a weekend visit has ended his
recruitment and will suit up next season for the Tigers of Auburn.
coached by Jeff Lebo, made some headlines after winning the SEC Tournament last
season and earning a spot in the field of 65.
Steele, who has led Fulton
to two consecutive state championships in Class AA, is poised and ready for the
three-peat. Garnering MVP honors last season the Falcons appear more than ready
to add another gold ball to the trophy case.
Steele, who played his summer basketball with the Tennessee
Travelers, will be a welcome addition for the War Eagles with his quick trigger
and dead eye shooting range.
Steele is the fourth member of the Class of 2010 to pledge
his college choice thus far.
Congrats to Jalen and we wish him nothing but success and
happiness with his college decision.
