Tennessee Racers Off To a Good Start this Summer


Good things are happening for the 16 and Under Tennessee
Racers Elite. After three events the Racers find themselves at 12-2.


 


A tune up event in Nashville
left the squad at 5-0 before their first major competitive event at the Real
Deal in the Rock the week before the April live period commenced.


 


The Racers finished 4-1 at Real Deal losing to the eventual
champions the Arkansas Soldiers by 3 in the title game.


 


The third stop on their magical mystery tour brought them to
Louisville for
the Eddie Ford Spring Classic. "Live Action" started with balanced
scoring from the entire roster and a comfortable 62-47 victory over the Hoosier
Hornets.


 


J'Honathan Smith
(Waverly Central)
took scoring honors with 11 as the Racers skidded past
the North Carolina Courage 61-58 in overtime. Reese Randolph (McGavock) and Tyler Dell (Waverly Central) each
scored 8 in the close victory.


 


Randolph
managed 18 but the Racers fell to the Kentucky Hoopstars 57-54 on a buzzer
beater. Smith added 10 and Chris Walker
(Marshall County)
finished with 9.


 


Racers Regroup....57-41 over a squad from Kansas City with Randolph and Ricky Lang (PJPII) each scoring 10.
Dell had a quality game with 10 assists in the win.
