Tennessee Prep Hoops Nashville Fall League Game Capsules (Week 1 and 2)

The Tennessee Prep Hoops Nashville Fall League is off to a rousing start after two weeks of action. Here are some breakdowns of the action thus far.

 

 

 

TENNESSEE PREP HOOPS NASHVILLE FALL LEAGUE WEEK #1 GAME CAPSULES

 

Tennessee 94

Vanderbilt 69

 

Hunter Bedwell (Franklin) led a five pack of double digit scorers with 16 as Tennessee opened up the 11th annual Tennessee Prep Hoops Nashville Fall League with a 94-69 victory over Vanderbilt.

 

Noah Magee (Franklin) and Robbie Rusciano (McEwen) chipped in with 15 each, Joshua Roberts (MBA) added 13 and Jordan DeWalt (CPA) closed with 12 in the victory.

 

Evan Eursher (Lighthouse Christian) scored 21 for Vanderbilt followed by Braden Zapp (CPA) with 12 in the loss.

 

 

 

Michigan 85

Purdue 79

 

Masyn Winningham (White County) was deadly from deep finishing with 27 points en route to leading Michigan to an 85-79 triumph over Purdue.

 

Josh Scretchen (USN) had a fine game dropping 17, Martise Jackson (Siegel) added 12, Kegan Dodson (White County) finished with 11 and Kolbi Wright (CPA) closed with 10 in the win.

 

P.J. Smith (Goodpasture) led Purdue with 16 followed by Grant Slatten (White County) and Malachi Parham (Hume Fogg) with 15 each and Alex Mitchell (Community) added 10.

 

 

 

Kentucky 83

Florida 76

 

Jaime Hernandez (Page) set the tone early and often scoring 20 points as Kentucky defeated Florida 83-76 in Nashville Fall League action at CPA.

 

Joining Hernandez in the scoring column were Gray Gustafson (Davidson Academy) and Robert Anderson (Brentwood) with 18 each.

 

Jaylen Pegues (Hillsboro) took game high scoring honors in the loss with 22 points. Ryan Wilcox (Hillsboro) added 18.

 

 

 

Iowa 92

Indiana 62

 

Dominic Wynn (Ensworth) was the show scoring 29 points as Iowa loudly made an early season statement with a 92-62 win over Indiana.

 

Bill Eads (Fairview) added 25 in the win following right behind was Evan Shiflet (CPA) with 10.

 

Bryce Jackson (Stewart's Creek) led Indiana with 17. Rex Edmondson (Creek Wood) and Adler Kerr (Wilson Central) chipped in with 14 a piece.

 

 

 

Auburn 81

Ohio State 78

 

Isaiah Shaw (Davidson Academy) led a host of double digit folks with 19 as Auburn opened up Nashville Fall League play with a hard fought 81-78 win over Ohio State.

 

Preston Whittington (Riverdale) added 17, Kyle Wesley (KIPP) closed with 13 and Caleb Shaw (Davidson Academy) and Maddox Bodenhamer (Rockvale) finished with 11 in the win.

 

Tre Carlton (Summit) led Ohio State with 17.

 

Jacob McDonald (White House) finished with 13 while Tyler McClain (Lipscomb Academy), Tristan Conger (Summit) and Rodney Love (Glencliff) all finished with 10 points.

Michigan 81

 

Tre Carlton (Summit) made the first statement of the day a big one dropping 31 markers as Ohio State rebounded from a tough defeat last week to capture victory over rival Michigan 87-81.

 

Rodney Love (Glencliff) added 14, Jacob McDonald (White House) put in 12 and Jaden Galy (Beech) finished with 10.

 

Jaylen Wetzel (Siegel) made his Fall League debut a good one scoring 23 in the tough loss. Josh Scretchen (USN) added 19, Martise Jackson (Siegel) had 13 and Kegan Dodson (White County) closed with 10.

 

 

 

Florida 90

Auburn 86

 

Jaylen Pegues (Hillsboro) and Carrington Allen (Oakland) scored 22 and 21 respectively as Florida got on the winning track with a tough 90-86 win over Auburn.

 

Damon Fann (Oakland) added 10 in the victory.

 

Isaiah Shaw (Davidson Academy) led the way for Auburn with 20 in the narrow defeat.

 

Kyle Wesley (KIPP) added 19, Maddox Bodenhamer (Rockvale) finished with 17 and Caleb Shaw (Davidson Academy) ended up with 12.

 

 

 

Kentucky 70

Vanderbilt 61

 

Jaime Hernandez (Page) had another fine outing as Kentucky moved to 2-0 on the young season with a 70-61 win over surging Vanderbilt.

 

Morgan Anderson (NCS) and Cannon Anderson (NCS) went for 11 and 10 in the nice win.

 

Braden Zapp (CPA) led the way for Vanderbilt with 15 markers. Evan Eursher (Lighthouse Christian) closed with 12 while Adam Miller (USN) added 10.

 

 

 

Indiana 100

Purdue 84

 

Isaiah Poore (Centennial) made his Fall League debut one to remember scoring 37 markers as Indiana cruised to a 100-84 win over Purdue.

 

Dusty Williams (Centennial) made his debut as well dropping 21 in the victory. Rex Edmondson (Creek Wood) and Raekwon Nesbitt (Creek Wood) scored 16 each in the win.

 

P.J. Smith (Goodpasture) had another good effort scoring 23 in the loss.

 

Jacob Murrell (Goodpasture) had 14, Alex Mitchell (Community) dropped 13 and Jake Mulder (Ravenwood) closed with a 10 spot.

 

 

 

Iowa 101

Tennessee 98

 

Iowa, behind 29 markers from rising sophomore Malik Dia (Blackman) moved to 2-0 on the young season with a tough 101-98 triumph over Tennessee.

 

Braeden Moore (CPA) added 17, Bill Eads (Fairview) managed 16, Lock Hord (Fairview) had 15, Jabari Mastin (Blackman) closed with 12 and Jacob Beasley (Blackman) ended with 11.

 

Logan Johnston (Harpeth) led a balanced attack with 20. Robbie Rusciano (McEwen) had 18, Hunter Bedwell (Franklin) added 16, Darrow Parrish (Hillsboro) finished with 13 and Connor Beavon (Franklin) closed with 11.
