Tennessee Bobcats Take White Division Gold Championship at Big Shots/Clemson

The Tennessee Bobcats made the most of their journey to
Littlejohn Coliseum on the campus of Clemson
University
for the Big
Shots Exposure Tournament capturing the 16 and Under White Division Gold
Championship with a 61-53 victory over the Upward Stars-Greenville.


 


John Fulkerson
(Dobyns-Bennett)
poured in a team high 18 in the win and for his efforts
was named Most Valuable Player. Fulkerson was joined in the scorebook by Malik McGue (Science Hill) and John
Bryant (Jefferson
County
)
with 10
points each.


 


In the opening contest the Bobcats made short work of the
Swish City Magic to the tune of 56-46 behind a team high 10 from Fulkerson.


 


Victim #2 saw the Bobcats eliminate Team 1 on 1 69-60 behind
17 from Bryant. Fulkerson added 15 while Makale
Foreman (Dobyns-Bennett)
finished with 11. McGue had a nice game as well
dropping 10 points and dishing out 8 dimes along the way.


 


The Raleigh Capitals felt the wrath of the Bobcats in Game
#3 by the margin of 64-59 with Fulkerson dropping 17 and Bryant adding 15 for
the win. Bryson Stephens (Morristown
East)
chipped in with 13 markers while Daniel
Clark (Bradley Central)
contributed 8 points and 7 caroms, Jacob Cawood (Midway) was lauded for
his efforts on the glass leading the charge for the Bobcats in that category.


 


The Bobcats stand at 9-4 in their inaugural season after
four events and will travel to Washington
D.C.
this weekend.
