Tennessee Bobcats Take 16 and Under Eastern Sub-State


The Tennessee Bobcats finished off a solid weekend of work
with a 67-57 victory over the Tennessee Thunder to capture the championship at
the 16 and Under Eastern Sub-State this past weekend at Heritage High School.


 


John Bryant (Jefferson County) put the final touches on a
outstanding weekend with 21 points and 7 boards in the win. John Fulkerson (Dobyns-Bennett) finished
with 13.

(Dobyns-Bennett)
got the weekend off to a rousing start dropping 16 as the
Bobcats took their opener 82-53 over the Tennessee Fury. Bryant chipped in with
12 and Fulkerson added 11 in the win. Lucas
Campbell (CAK)
added 10 while Kaden
Wampler (Science Hill)
chipped in with 9 points and 5 boards.


 


Bryant stole the show in Game #2 leading the charge with 14
markers. Campbell
added 10 while Fulkerson and Jacob
Cawood (Midway)
finished with 9 in the 72-54 win over the NSA Celtics. Harper Felter (Jefferson County)
was a mainstay on the glass leading with a team high 9 caroms.


 


Foreman was red hot dropping 22 as the Bobcats bested the
Tennessee Chosen Few 63-49. Bryant was brilliant scoring 18 markers and
snatching 11 boards in the tough victory.


 


Great overall effort as the coaches lauded the defensive
efforts of Noah Carter (Jefferson County) and the leadership of point
guard Malik McGue (Science Hill).
