Week #2 of the Stars Basketball Club High School Hoops League. Lets take a look at the action from this past Sunday night.
Nuggets 98
Mavericks 90
Connor Bain (FRA) and Casey Lynch (Independence) each dropped 21 markers as the Nuggets got past the Mavericks 98-90.
Cameron Bell (Independence) had a solid game dropping 20 while Davis Smith (Brentwood) chipped in with 10 in the win.
Brevin Klym (CPA) scored a game high 25 in the loss.
Jace Herrell (Creek Wood) added 18 and Warren Pistole (CPA) closed with 13 in the tough loss.
Heat 80
Grizzlies 72
Andrew Lamuno (Ravenwoood) led a four pack of double digit scorers with 22 points as the Heat escaped with a slick 80-72 win over the Grizzlies.
Joining Lamuno in the score book were Grady Powers (Nolensville) with 17, Griffin Cooper (Columbia Academy) with 12 and Jake Mulder (Ravenwood) with 11.
Daniel Bale (White House-Heritage) led the Grizzlies with 17 markers.
Adler Kerr (Wilson Central) and Hayden Potts (FCS) each finished with 16 in defeat.
Bucks 81
Clippers 66
Jakeb Davis (White County) busted 27 large leading his Bucks to a big 81-66 triumph over the Clippers.
Japeth Richmond (White County) added 14 while Kade Lenfestey (Summit) closed with 12.
Nic Hyde (Ensworth) was solid scoring 24 markers in the loss.
Jonathan Sawyer (Fairview) added 14.
Knicks 123
Celtics 94
Pierce Bruhl (Page) and Jack Oakley (Cookeville) scored 23 and 21 respectively as the Knicks outscored the Celtics to the tune of 123-94.
Seven players dangled double digits in the victory including Tucker Carter (Cheatham County) with 18, Cannon Anderson (Nashville Christian) with 17, Ashton Kirby (PJPII) with 15, Maverick Lee (Cheatham County) with 13 and Andrew Roberson (FCA) with 10.
Devin Hill (MTCS) took scoring honors for the Celtics in the loss with 22.
Five others joined the fray dropping double digits including Gilbert Jones (BGA) with 18, Gabriel Espinoza (BGA) with 16 and a trio with 11 markers, Kolton Garcvon (Merrol Hyde), Cole Matthews (BGA) and Reese Turner (Nolensville).
Hawks 80
Jazz 74
Jett Montgomery (Independence) dropped 21 points leading the Hawks to the win over the lyrical Jazz.
Isaac Power (Summit) added 16 while Hayes Bainbridge (Homeschool) closed with 13 in the victory.
The Hawks overshadowed a major scoring outburst for Adrian Samuels (USN) who dropped a league high 35 points in defeat.
Kenton Major (Station Camp) added 10.
Nets 90
Cavs 84
Bradley Stewart (Summit) led a group of six in double figures with 21 as the Nets grabbed the victory over the Cavs by the tune of 90-84.
Stewart was joined in the book by Jake Dykstra (CPA) with 14, Grayson Collins (Brentwood) with 12, Jack Fry (CPA) with 11 and Lathan Hord (FCA) and Ryan Vollero (CPA) with 10 each.
Will Brent (Ravenwood) led the way for the Cavs with 17.
Evan Gainer (Ravenwood) added 16, Lincoln Aholt (Brentwood Academy) closed with 13 and Daniel Cochran (Brentwood) finished with 11.
Suns 94
Lakers 91
Balanced scoring was the flavor of the day for the Suns as seven players managed double digits in a classic 94-91 win over the Lakers.
In what proved to be the best game of the night, the Suns managed 13 points each from Nick Degnan (Brentwood) and Samuel Jackson (USN).
Israel Fayne (FRA) and Gunnar Lewis (CPA) grabbed 12 each while Black Lance (FRA) finished with 11 and Jack Medalie (Franklin) and Maddux Routh (CPA) closed with 10 each.
JM Camp (CPA) led the Lakers with 12 followed closely by Mason Brown (Central Magnet) with 11 and Browning Collison (CPA) with 10.
