The Class of 2011 is turning out to be a special one indeed.
The results from last weeks Game of the Week will show this out.
West Game of the Week:
Adonis Thomas (Melrose) dropped 31 points leading his Melrose squad to a 69-62 win over AA stawart Mitchell. "Mighty" Chris Jones (Melrose) chipped in with 14 helping Melrose to a 8-1 start on the young season.
Mardracus Wade (Mitchell) led Mitchell with 25 and Russell Hill (Mitchell) added 19.
East Game of the Week:
This one was everything we thought it could be and more. Brandon Lopez (Austin East) sank a 3-pointer at the buzzer after ,Jalen Steele (Fulton) had tied the contest with one of his own, leading the Roadrunners to a 48-45 victory over the defending AA state champions.
The win moves Austin East to 8-0 on the young season and they were led in scoring by seniors Chase Jones and Chance Jones with 17 and 8 respectively.
Transfer Reggie Garrett (Fulton) led the Falcons with 17. Steele ended with 12.
Middle Game of the Week:
Unbeaten Rossview ran into the Clarksville Northeast buzzsaw as the district rivals conquered the pre-season favorite 63-47.
Jamarius Alderson (Clarksville Northeast) led with 19 points and Telvin James (Clarksville Northeast) finished with 13.
Shawn Kelly (Rossview) led with 16.
