Sometimes my friends you just have to follow your dreams.

Skylar McBee (Grainger) will do just that as the Grizzly sharpshooter will walk-on with the hometown Tennessee Volunteers and Coach Bruce Pearl.

All his life Skyler wanted to wear the orange and white, now with an opportunity to make his dream come true he hits the ground running.

Passing up numerous offers from dozens of mid-major schools, McBee strongly believes he will have the opportunity to become a contributor for the Vols.

Let us not forget, former Vol JuJuan Smith who hailed from McMinn County, also started his career as a walk-on.

McBee brings a deft stroke to Knoxville and may be just what the doctor ordered for a team needing more consistency from the arc.

Meanwhile acroos town another KNoxville standout has chosen to walk-on at the school of his choice.

Sam Watson (Farragut),will take his game down I-75 to Chattanooga and walk-on for the talented Mocs and Coach Jon Shulman.

Watson, who played this summer with McBee on the Mid-State Ballerz, will be a welcome addition on the practice floor with his size and above average offensive skills.

Congrats to both young men whom I have had the privledge of getting to know these past four years.
