Week #2 saw some squads avenge first day losses and the action was hype at AlcoaHigh School this past Saturday. Lets see how things shook up.
Team Lee 66
Team Driscoll 61
Jack Graham (Bearden) and Taylor Hawkins (Sequoyah) scored 15 and 14 points respectively as Team Lee moved to 1-1 on the young season with a staunch 66-61 win over a battling Team Driscoll.
The duo's effort was just enough to overcome a spectacular performance from rising senior guard Ryan Henry (Knoxville Catholic) who finished with a game high 21 markers for Team Driscoll, who fell to 0-2.
Lucas Campbell (CAK) added 12 while Trevor Jain (Pigeon Forge) finished with 10 for the victors.
Austin Cox (Knoxville Webb) continues to play well notching 15 points in the loss. Chris Zion (Knoxville Webb) finished with 10.
Team Lee looks to extend their win streak this Saturday at Knoxville Catholic with an 11:00 showdown against fellow 1-1 Lofton Division foe Team Garman.
Team Driscoll looks to get one in the win column against Team Feltner (1-1).
Team Sharp 66
Team Watts 62
Balance was the order of the day as Steffan Scroeder (Gatlinburg-Pittman) led a group of four with 13 points as Team Sharp conquered their first win with a 66-62 triumph over Team Watts.
Joining Shroeder in the score book were Trent Pope (Sevier County) with 11, Austin Arrington (Seymour) and Gunnar Gibson (Seymour) with 10 each.
Brady Nease (Union County) took game high scoring honors with 17 for Team Watts who fell to 0-2 on the young season. Kelvin Jackson (Fulton) added 13 while Caleb Hayes (Anderson County) chipped in with 11.
Team Sharp begins action this Saturday at Catholic with the early game against fellow 1-1 squad Team Jackson.
Team Watts looks to find a notch in the win column as they tangle unbeaten Team Burns this Saturday.
Team Matthews 64
Team Feltner 61
Luke Matthews (Stone Memorial) and Tyler Yoder (Stone Memorial) each scored 18 as Team Matthews claimed victory in one of the days best played contests 64-61 and moved their season mark to 2-0 in the Lofton Division.
Team Feltner, who fell to 1-1, was led again by ever-improving big man Bryce Cusick (Jefferson County) who finished with a game high 20 markers. John Bryant (Jefferson County) added 18 while John Fulkerson (Dobyns-Bennett) ended up with 13 in the narrow loss.
Team Feltner looks to get back to their winning ways as they battle Team Driscoll this Saturday while Team Matthews puts their gaudy 2-0 record on the line against Team Riddick (1-1).
Team Jackson 76
Team Smith 51
Andre Wilson (Austin East) led a fearsome foursome of players in double digits with 16 as Team Jackson notched their first win of the season with a 76-51 triumph over Team Smith. Wilson was joined in the book by Jordan Bowden (Carter) with 15, Caylor Tallent (Maryville) with 14 and Jake Myers (Scott) with 10.
Zak Carter (Hardin Valley) and Kenny White (Knoxville Halls) each scored 14 for Team Smith, who moved to 1-1 on the season.
Team Jackson moves to Saturday against fellow Bradshaw Division foe Team Sharp while Team Smith looks to rebound against Team Coffin (1-1).
Team Garman 59
Team Riddick 53
Birdman McKamey (Clinton) scored 4 of his 16 points in overtime as Team Garman put themselves in the win column for the first time with a 59-53 overtime win over Team Riddick.
Devin Sibley (Karns) took scoring honors for Team Garman notching 17.
Nico White (Alcoa) led all scorers in the game with 21 markers while Isaac Edmiston (Maryville) added 13 in the tough loss.
Team Riddick, who fell to 1-1, will take on unbeaten Team Burns this Saturday at Knoxville Catholic while Team Garman puts their win streak on the line against Team Lee.

Team Coffin 61
Kendrick Thompson (Cleveland) had the hot hand as Team Burns remained unblemished at 2-0 with a 76-61 defeat of Team Coffin.
Thompson led a group of five in double digits including Alex Watkins (Tyner Academy) with 14, Levi Woods (Meigs County) with 13, Kenny Bunton (East Hamilton) with 12 and Sam Gregory (Bradley Central) with 10.
Dylan Reppart (Daniel Boone) was high man for Team Coffin, who fell to 1-1 on the new season, with 18. David McFarlane (Volunteer) added 14 while Grayson Ball (Sullivan North) finished with 12.
Team Burns puts their unbeaten mark on the line this Saturday at Catholic against Team Watts while Team Coffin looks to rebound against Team Smith.
