Week #2 of the Rocky Top Fall League saw some teams move themselves into playoff contention, some serious comebacks and some scoring hijinks.
Team White 70
Team Coffin 67
Matthew Bilbrey (Stone Memorial) and Cade Capps (Stone Memorial) dropped 22 markers each as Team White overcame a 19 point second half deficit to remain the only unblemished team in the Prestige Division with a 70-67 triumph over Team Coffin.
Bilbrey was enormous in the comeback draining three and drawing the attention of the college coaches in attendance.
JaMichael Blair (Bearden) added 10 in the win.
The loss overshadowed a big scoring effort for Jaylen Roberts (Karns). The rising senior guard notched a league high 29 points.
J.J. Faulkner (Karns) added 14 while John Long (Campbell County) closed with 12.
Team Jarnagin 85
Team Dawson 75
Tyler Lee (Fulton) scored 23 and the twins, Taj Kimber (Fulton) and Denaj Kimber (Fulton) added 20 each as Team Jarnagin overcame a determined Team Dawson 85-75.
Ty Pryor (Rockwood) finished with 10 for the victors.
Kaleb Walker (Powell) had a nice game leading his squad with a cool 23.
Bryce Jardret (Powell) finished with 19 while Jack Smith (Hardin Valley) and Bryson Merrill (Union County) closed with 12.
Team Feltner 87
Team Brewster 62
Nick Johnson (Maryville) led a five spot of double digit scorers with 22 as Team Feltner rolled past Team Brewster 87-62.
Joining Johnson on the scoring bonanza were Dalton McNew (Carter and Zane Brown (Carter) with 12 each and Robbie Eldridge (Maryville) and Grayson Strader (Oak Ridge) with 11.
Drake Ingram (Knoxville Webb) led Team Brewster with 17 while Alex Akard (Maryville) finished with a season high 15.
Team Chandler 89
Team Biven 54
Shane Cherry (Austin East) led a balanced attack with 17 as Team Chandler got the best of Team Biven 89-54.
Elia Bongiorno (King's Academy) and Reece Pride (William Blount) added 15 each while Grady Robertson (William Blount) and Damjan Simun (King's Academy) closed with 13 and 10 respectively.
Jamin Russell (Heritage) and Grant Campbell (Heritage) led Team Biven with 11 each.
Silas Webster (South Doyle) and Spencer Reynolds (South Doyle) added 10 each.
Team McNew 86
Team Lane 75
Justin Nordin (Bearden) dropped 23 points as Team McNew remained unbeaten in the Worldwide Division with a solid 85-75 win over a very good Team Lane.
Jayden Capshaw (Loudon) was outstanding adding 19 points while Nelson Karnowski (Bearden) and Harrison Rollins (King's Academy) finished with 13.
Yesan Warren (Knoxville Catholic) took game scoring honors with a 26 spot in the loss.
Caleb Asbaty (Knoxville Catholic) finished with 17.
Team Holt 88
Team Murphy 84
Dallas Carbaugh (Farragut) and J.D. Harris (Knoxville Central) scored 21 points each as Team Holt survived in one of the best games of the day over Team Murphy 88-84.
Evan Coffman (CAK) chipped in with 18 while Aiden Van Acker (Farragut) closed with 10 in the win.
Cade Murphy (Knoxville Catholic) took game scoring honors with 24 while high school chum Deondrea Lindsey (Knoxvile Catholic) added 20.
Jonathan Waldroup (Lenoir City) finished with 16 and Jaevien Eleam (Knoxville Catholic) added 11.
