Rocky Top Fall League Week #1 Results

Season 7 of the Rocky Top Fall League tipped off this past weekend at Grace Christian school. Lets find out how the teams fared.

 

 

 

Team Lane 55

Team Morgan 42

Shandell Willis (Knoxville West) and E.J. Bush (Oak Ridge) scored 16 and 13 respectively as Team Lane moved their season mark to 1-0 with a hard fought 55-42 win over Team Morgan in Rocky Top High School Fall League action at Grace Christian.

Justin Barnett (Sevier County) was high scorer for Team Morgan with 8 markers.

Team Lane (1-0) puts their unblemished mark on the line this Saturday back at Grace Christian where they will tangle with Team Sexton (0-1).

Team Morgan (0-1) looks to bounce back into the win column as they welcome Team Garman (0-1).

 

Team Watts 44

Team Sharp 35

Luke Smith (Knoxville Catholic) led all scorers with a game high 15 markers as Team Watts controlled tempo in a low scoring affair sliding past Team Sharp 44-35.

Conley Hamilton (Powell) was the lone scorer in double digits for Team Sharp with 10.

Team Watts (1-0) puts their unbeaten record on the line this Saturday as the do battle with Team Steinmetz (1-0).

Team Sharp (0-1) looks to put a mark on the other side of the ledger as they tangle with Team Jones (1-0) this Saturday at Grace Christian.

 

Team Upchurch 88

Team Sexton 55

Calvin Keeble (Heritage) led a three-point onslaught as Team Upchurch behind 12 deep makes bested Team Sexton 88-55 in Rocky Top Fall League action.

Keeble led the scoring for Team Upchurch with 17 followed by Garrett Anderson (Alcoa) with 16, Easton Upchurch (Maryville) with 12, Josh Endicott (Upperman) with 11 and Jaylon Vickers (Heritage) with 10.

The freshman duo of C.J. Gettlefinger (Grace Christian) and Grant Ledford (Grace Christian) dropped 13 and 11 respectively in the loss.

Team Upchurch (1-0) faces a huge challenge at Grace Christian this Saturday as they battle Team Feltner (1-0) for Watson Division supremacy.

Team Sexton (0-1) appears ready to rebound as they tangle with Team Lane (1-0).

Team Jones 61

Team Morton 58

Kenny Bunton (Walker Valley) led four players in double figures with a dozen as Team Jones pulled out the narrow escape with a 61-58 win over a tough Team Morton squad.

Bunton, a Lipscomb signee, dropped 12 as did Cantrell Ware (Cleveland). Josh Jones (Walker Valley) and Keaton Dotson (Station Camp) added 11 each in the win.

David Henson (Hardin Valley) led all scorers with 17 points for Team Morton. Justin Warner (Grainger) added 12.

Team Jones (1-0) puts their sterling mark on the line this Saturday at Grace Christian as they welcome Team Sharp (0-1).

Team Morton (0-1) battles Team Matthews (0-1).

Team Feltner 82

Team Garman 67

In what would be the highest scoring game of the day, Brenden Coleman (David Crockett) and Seth Lenard (Sweetwater) scored 16 points each and lifted Team Feltner to an 82-67 win over a tough Team Garman squad.

Joining Coleman and Lenard in the scoring column were Alex Reese (Claiborne) and Dustin Day (David Crockett) with 12 each.

Chase Cerny (CAK) scored 16 for Team Garman followed closely by Miles Thomas (South Doyle) with 14 and Spencer Lowe (Maryville) with 11.

Team Feltner (1-0) prepares for an epic confrontation with Team Upchurch (1-0) this Saturday for early Watson Division supremacy while Team Garman (0-1) is determined to bounce back in a big way as they battle Team Morgan (0-1).

Team Steinmetz 64

Team Matthews 57

Geevontay Gee (Oak Ridge) dropped 16 as Team Steinmetz converted tough buckets late to slip past Team Matthews 64-57 in the final contest of the day at the Rocky Top Fall League at Grace Christian.

Maverick Smith (Oakdale) added 13 points in the win for Team Steinmetz.

Bryric Savage (Cookeville) led Team Matthews with 16 points while Hunter Crouch (Clarkrange) added 12 and Silas Clark (Cumberland County) pitched in 10.

Team Steinmetz (1-0) puts its perfect mark on the line this weekend at Grace Christian against fellow unbeaten Team Watts (1-0).

Team Matthews (0-1) looks to rebound as they tangle with Team Morton (0-1).
