Rocky Top D-League Week 4 and 5 Capsules Plus Scoring Leaders and Final Standings

With the finals looming this week, lets get caught up on Weeks 4 and 5 from the Rocky Top D-League. Here's how the action went down.






Team Boals 69

Team Holt 66


Eric Rivers (McCallie) broke open a tight game early with four straight dynamic buckets and finished with 31 points as Team Boals bested a determined Team Holt 69-66.


Tyler Peel (McMinn County) added 18 for the victors.


Isaiah Bredwood (Bearden) played his most complete game of the season scoring 7 points and leading a group of four in double digits in the narrow loss.


Will Biven (Knoxville West) added 15, Elijah Bredwood (Bearden) finished with 14 and Houston Dyer (Knoxville West) closed with 12.




Team Flemming 59

Team Gregory 48


Jack Brown (FBA) dropped 21 markers as Team Flemming overcame a huge 26 point outburst from Harper Neal (Kingston) by defeating Team Gregory 59-48 in Rocky Top D-League action.


Bryson Boles (Rockwood) added 12 while Carter Mayfield (Farragut) closed with 10 points in the win.  




Team Garner 71

Team Brickhouse/Dalton 61


Walker Kyle (Bearden) exploded for  season high 27 points as Team Chandler remained unbeaten with a tough 71-61 win over a surging Team Brickhouse/Dalton.


Joining Kyle in the score book were Austin Pruitt (Bearden) with 13 and Hayden Treadwell (Bearden) added 12.


Jackson Garner (Clinton) and Brady Luttrell (Kingston) continued their fine efforts this season scoring 14 and 13 respectively. Nathan McNelley (Kingston) added 10 in the tough loss.




Team Chandler 90

Team White 84


Hayden Llewellyn (Jellico) dropped 22 points as Team Chandler needed overtime to get past Team White, in what was one of the best games of the season at the Rocky Top D-League, to the tune of 90-84.


Ray Moore (Knoxville Central) chipped in with 16, Isaiah Smith (Farragut) added 15 and Ahmed Belton (Knoxville Central) finished with 10 in the victory.


Six players dropped double digits for Team White led by Tristan Warfield (Grainger) with 19, Cade Standifer (Bearden) with 16, DeMias Munsey (Bearden) added 15, Tai Cates (2023) chipped in 13, Luke Lentz (Bearden) closed with 11 and Jaylon Green (Knoxville Webb) added 10.

Isaiah Smith (Farragut) and Ahmed Belton (Knoxville Central) each scored 16 points as Team Chandler (2-3) secured second place in the Moon Division with a tough 82-76 win over highly touted Team Boals (3-2).


Dillon Atwell (Farragut) chipped in with 11 markers and Hayden Llewellyn (Jellico) added 10.


The effort offset two outstanding scoring performances from the leagues top two scorers. Eric Rivers (McCallie) and Tyler Peel (McMinn County) finished with 33 and 27 respectively.


Ironically both teams finished second in their respective division and will battle again on Thursday for Championship night in the second place contest.




Team Garner 56

Tea,m Gregory 46


Walker Kyle (Bearden) continued his outstanding play dropping 21 points as Team Garner finished the regular season unblemished with a hard fought 56-46 win over Team Gregory.


Spencer Boshears (Campbell County) added 12 in the victory.


Harper Neal (Kingston) led all scorers with 22 while Corey Bohannan (Pigeon Forge) finished with 12.


Team Garner (5-0) will take on Team Flemming (3-2) in the title game on Thursday while Team Gregory (1-4) welcomes Team Brickhouse/ Dalton (1-4) in the 4th place game.




Team Brickhouse/Dalton 66

Team Flemming 61


Brady Luttrell (Kingston) scored 19 as Team Brickhouse/Dalton captured their first win of the season with a 66-61 triumph over Team Flemming.


Jackson Garner (Clinton) added 15 while Lane Harrison (Clinton) played his best game of the season scoring 12 points in the win.


Bryson Boles (Rockwood) led the scoring charge with 18. Nick Liakonis (Hardin Valley) scored 12, Carter Mayfield (Farragut) added 10 in the loss.


Despite the loss Team Flemming (3-2) will represent the Moon Division in the championship game against unbeaten Team Garner on Thursday.


Team Brickhouse/Dalton carries their one game winning streak into the 4th place contest against Team Gregory.




Team Holt 71

Team White 69


Will Biven (Knoxville West) and Isaiah Bredwood (Bearden) scored 24 and 21 points respectively as Team Holt eked out a narrow 71-69 victory over Team White.


Tai Cates (2023) led the scoring for Team White with 17. Luke Lentz (Bearden) finished with 15, Cade Standifer (Bearden) added 14 and DeMias Munsey (Bearden) closed with 11.


As luck would have these squads will face again on Thursday in the 3rd place contest.
