Rocky Top D-League Week #3 Game Capsules, Standings and League Scoring Leaders

Halfway through our inaugural season of the Rocky Top D-League saw one unbeaten team remain and a fight for who will play in the title game three weeks now. Lets see how the action played out in Week #3.







Team Boals 65

Team Gregory 55


Tyler Peel (McMinn County) kept his grip on the league scoring crown dropping 23 points as Team Boals won their second straight game with a tough 65-55 win over cross division rival Team Gregory.


Eric Rivers (McCallie) continued his outstanding play scoring 16 while Wyatt Shoemaker (CAK) closed with 11 in the win.


Harper Neal (Kingston) led all scorers with 25 points in the tough loss.


Team Boals (2-1) goes into Week #4 on a hot streak and welcomes Jackie Diviison foe Team Holt (2-1). Team Gregory (1-2) looks to right the ship and get back in the win column as they welcome Team Flemming (2-1).  



Team Garner 62

Team Chandler 57


Walker Kyle (Bearden) and Hayden Treadwell (Bearden) each scored 15 points as Team Garner remained as the only unbeaten team in the league staking claim in the Jackie Division with a hard and rough 62-57 win over a surging Team Chandler.


Austin Pruitt (Bearden) was outstanding with his floor game and chipped in with 11 points in the win.


Isaiah Smith (Farragut) led the scoring charge for Team Chandler with 18 markers followed closely by rising 8th grader Hayden Llewellyn (Jellico) with 14.


Team Chandler (0-3) is mere points away from having a much better record and they will show no mercy as the entertain Team White (2-1) on Thursday.


Team Garner (3-0) wishes to stay unblemished and in the top spot in the division as they welcome Team Brickhouse/Dalton (0-3) into the fray.  



Team White 85

Team Brickhouse/Dalton 80


Denias Munsey (Bearden) and Tristan Warfield (Grainger) dropped 27 and 22 points respectively in what was one of the most entertaining games of the season as Team White needed overtime to tame Team Brickhouse/Dalton 85-80.


Tai Cates (???) added 19 in the win.


Jackson Garner (Clinton) had another outstanding game scoring 20 markers in the tough loss. Colby Reimer (Kingston) and Brady Luttrell (Kingston) each scored 17 and Eli Walls (Powell) closed with 11.


Team White (2-1) puts their two game win streak on the line as they battle Moon Division foe Team Chandler (0-3).


Team Brickhouse/Dalton (0-3) wishes to play the role of spoiler as they go to war with unbeaten Team Garner (3-0).

Isaiah Bredwood (Bearden) had his best floor game of the league scoring 14 points and making crucial decisions down the stretch as Team Holt knocked Team Flemming from the ranks of the unbeaten to the tune of 59-55.


Elijah Bredwood (Bearden) had a fine game for the victors scoring 10 in the win.


Jack Brown (First Baptist Academy) led all scorers with 20 points in the loss. Jayden Housewright (CAK) scored 12 in the loss.
