Ripley Scoring Sensation Lands in the OVC

What took you so long?

The question has been lingering in my mind for majority of the second half of the high school season.

Chad Culbreath (Ripley) was still on the board.

The dynamic scoring sensation from West Tennessee has been lighting up opponents all season and finished the year scoring over 1,100 points on his way to over 2,500 for his high school career.

The wait is now officially over as Culbreath ended his recruitment and will suit up next fall for the Racers of Murray State.

Culbreath, who led his team to a final four finish in the Class AA state tournament this past March, will be a welcome addition for coach Steve Prohm and his ultra successful program with his ability to create and score from the lead guard spot.

Murray State plays in the Ohio Valley Conference and concluded the regular season at 16-0 before falling to Belmont on a last second shot in the conference tournament. The Racers finished 29-6 including a top 25 rankings and the end of the regular season polls.

Culbreath marks the 17th player from the Class of 2015 to pledge D1.
