One of the better events of the Holiday season takes place this week in the city of Memphis with the Larry Finch Classic. The tourney commemorating the legendary player and coach of the Tigers begam action this Monday and culminates with our Game of the Week on Tuesday.
The defending AAA state champions Ridgeway take on the reigning favorite to capture the goldball in Class A Manassas.
Ridgeway playing without senior big Caderrio Macklin, will look to Tarik Black, Marterrace Brock and James Hampton for their scoring and boardwork. Manassas stands tall with Ole Miss signee Reginald Buckner ruling the roost. The 6'8 rising phenom leads the squad in every imaginable offensive and defensive category. No one man can win a game let alone a championship so look for junior shooter Shaq Walker and freshman phenom Jo Northington to contribute on both ends for the Tigers.
