Ronald Brown (Raleigh-Egypt) tipped in an errant shot at the buzzer to lift the Pharaohs to a tough 73-71 win over talented Melrose and thus captured the Memphis city championship in the Class AAA division.
Balance as usual was the Pharoahs staple with Gentry Hines, Anthony Jones and Joe Brady all sticking in 17 points. Brown finished with 15.
For Melrose Tromarcus Toney led the way with 17 of his own and sophomore Nino Johnson added 12.

Hillcrest 75
Larry McGaughey (BTW) led a very balanced attack with 19 as BTW stepped past Hillcrest to claim the crown of AA City Champions.
Martavious Newby and Kerry Love added 15 apiece for the winners.
LeMelvis Davis (Hillcrest) took game high scoring honors with 24.
