Rarely does a high school team get the opportunity to celebrate a player who scores over 1,000 points for his career.
How about three of these players on a single team!!!
How about two different programs.
Down at Walker Valley things are really going well this season. The Mustangs are still alive with a region championship game tomorrow night and heres one of the reasons why.
David Ware, Brice Sharp and Jake Trotter all have managed to eclipse the 1,000 point barrier for their respective careers.
Ware, who will attend Carson Newman in the fall, did alot of his damage with a patented stroke from deep, Sharpe, who also has over 500 assists, scored both off the dribble and from the outside, while Trotter, who will attend Tennessee Wesleyan, was clutch whenever he was on the floor.
Down the road in Chattanooga, three player also slid past the coveted 1,000 point barrier. Stephen Cook, Mario Hill and William Moore.
Cook finished with over 1,300 points and 600 assists. Hill passed the plateau later in the season, while Moore got his earlier in the season.
Moore, as most of you know, missed the better portion of two seasons with knee injuries. This young man has overcome a great deal of adversity and remains a positive influence for his teammates and everyone around him. I'm not afraid to say he has been a friend of mine and I wish him nothing but success as he comes back from his injury.
Moving East, Jacob Munsey (Union County) tops the schools all-time scoring list with over 1,500 points.
Kyle Teichmann (Brentwood) has accumulated over 1,300 points in his career and finished scoring 26 in his region loss to Hunters Lane.
Jonathan Williams (Rossview) moved past the 1,000 point mark earlier in the season for Rossview.
Across the county, Marquis Rudolph (Clarksville Northwest) capped a magical high school career with over 1,300 points.
Finally in Memphis, Belmont signee Ian Clark (Germantown) concluded a storied high school campaign with 1,877 points.
