Week #3 had some absenteeism due to the ACT test but everyone rallied to bring home a nice effort.

Auburn 56
Florida jumped to 2-1 at the halfway point of the season behind 19 points from Cordell James (McCallie) as they bested Auburn 81-56.
James had a few friends join him in the scorebook including Eddie Hitchcock (East Ridge) with 13 and Darien Johnson (Bradley Central) with 12.
Jamaal Calvin (McCallie) led Auburn (0-3) with 24 points in the loss. Bradley Ward (McMinn Central) and Shadon Hayes (Hixson) finished with 14 and 12 respectively.
Connecticut 88
Syracuse 50
C.J. Reese (McCallie) showed his scoring prowess this week as he dropped 19 and pushed UConn to an 88-50 win over Syracuse. The win moves Connecticut to 2-1 at the halfway mark of the season.
A bevy of double digit scorers joined Reese in the scorebook including Hunter Chastain (Bradley Central) with 15, Tyler Peeler (Tellico Plains) added 14, C.J. Fritz (McCallie) with 12, Miles Morgan (Bradley Central with 11 and finally Xavier Cummings (Red Bank) with 10.
Justin Ragsdale (Silverdale Academy) led Syracuse with 15 points and Logan Brewer (Polk County) finished with 11 markers. John Hall (Silverdale Academy) and Dalton Kepley (McMinn Central) both finished with 10 points in the loss.
Vanderbilt 85
Tennessee 67
Alphonzo Cox (East Ridge) went bananas scoring 43 points and helping Vanderbilt stay in the unbeaten ranks with an 85-67 victory over previously unblemished Tennessee.
Cox was big on the glass and got a lot of points on second chance putbacks, he was joined in the scoring column by Steadman Ford (Notre Dame) with 12 points and Bradley McCurdy (Cleveland) with 11 markers.
D.J. Bowles (Cleveland) was the lone Tennessee player in double digits scoring 24 points.
Louisville 117
Marquette 106
Players were recruited to fill in spots as both teams were shorthanded. Marquette held a 10 point lead late but a furious Louisville rally gave them the win and moved their season record to 2-1.
Jarod Rhodes (Cleveland) led the scoring with 29 points for Louisville. Chris Green (East Ridge) added 26 markers and Demonte Smith (Hixson) finished with 23 in his league debut. Max Miller (McMinn Central) finished with 10.
Jaylen Martin (McMinn County) led Marquette (1-2) with 10 points.
Alabama 92
Villanova 89
Greg Besley (East Ridge) and Jervon Johnson (Ooltewah) notched 28 and 26 points respectively leading Alabama past Villanova in a close contest 92-89.
Nick Scott (Georgia) finished with 13 points and Dustin Little (Cleveland) added 10 in the victory.
Making his league debut, Terrence O'Donahue (McCallie) finished with 22 points in the loss. Justus McMillan (Boyd Buchanan) took team scoring honors however with a 23 point outburst. Kendrick Thompson (Cleveland) and Isaiah Beatty (Cleveland) added 14 and 13 respectively in the close loss.
