District games and some make-ups complete the run towards Murfreesboro. This will be the final Fabulous 15 of the season as the playoffs get underway.
1. Ridgeway 22-1 (1)
Germantown got the best of the Roadrunners but fret not can this loss take some of the pressure away from an unbeaten season?
White Station (Class AAA City Championship) (2/17)
2. Fulton 20-2 (4)
Some things always remain the same and Fulton is on a roll as the state playoffs begin. Revenge win over Knoxville West and statement win over Knoxville Central gets the Falcons primed for the big time.
@ Bearden (2/17)
3. White Station 19-5 (2)
A nice win over Central followed by a hefty loss to Melrose keeps the Spartans right where they are. A date with Ridgeway for the city championship welcomes one of the most anticipated district tournaments in some time.
Memphis East (2/16); Ridgeway (Class AAA City Championship) (2/17)
4. Melrose 24-4 (5)
Could you feel the haters writing the Golden Hurricanes off after their third loss in a row, I did? The mighty one made sure this stopped and now, leading the onslaught of White Station. This district tourney will be something to see.
Mitchell (2/16)
5. Memphis Central 21-4 (3)
A close loss to the Station marred an otherwise good week for Central. Can the youngster make some noise at the district 16AAA showdowns; I can't wait to find out?
6. Bearden 25-1 (6)
Four wins last week give the Bulldogs a great deal of momentum as they gear up for the district tournament. Jaeland Lawson (Bearden) appears to be healthy which can and will give them a big advantage.
Fulton (2/17)
7. Southwind 22-3 (8)
Does it appear to everyone that Southwind is not mentioned in the conversation of who will move on and who will make the trip to the ‘boro. You would be silly not to include them in all conversations...bet that.
8. Clarksville Northeast 21-2 (9)
Three big district wins keeps Northeast among the elite in the mid-state area. With the wins has come the emergence of Alex Poythress (Clarksville Northeast). High major coaches you need to make him a priority, right now.
9. Hunter's Lane 22-3 (10)
Robbin Perry (Hunter's Lane) stepped up big and helped avenge an earlier loss to Overton with a comfortable win. Can they sustain the momentum as a third meeting is certainly looming on the horizon?
10. Nashville Overton 24-3 (7)
The loss to Hunter's Lane will not become the end of the world as another meeting is surely in the cards.
11. Jackson Northside 17-4 (11)
Prather went nuts with a 43 point effort this past week and Northside is slipping in the backdoor and will jump out on someone that least expects it.
12. Bolivar Central 22-4 (15)
Jay Murphy (Bolivar Central) led the Tigers to the district crown with the big win over Liberty Tech this past week. Of course another meeting looms much to the delight of basketball fans in the area.
13. Dyer County 21-3 (13)
Split the season series with Jackson Northside and captured the districts top seed in the upcoming district tourney. The Choctaws are young and talented.
14. Germantown 23-6 (NR)
A huge win knocking the Roadrunners of Ridgeway off the unbeaten pedestal shows that Germantown is not out of the picture with district action beginning this week.
15. Beech 24-3 (NR)
The Buccaneers have just continued to win and another district crown in the trophy case is just more of the same. Things get very interesting as the playoffs continue on.
