One of the most beautiful college campuses in the entire Southeast sits atop Mont Eagle Mountain and is known to the locals as the University of the South. Sewanee under the leadership of Bubba Smith is becoming a formidable opponent in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

The Tigers secured the services of two of the mid-state areas best unsigned players with the signings of Robert Veal (Ravenwood) and Wes Grace (Red Boiling Springs).

Veal, the all-time leading rebounder at Ravenwood, brings determination and the desire to improve to the Sewanee program. He is a capable scorer who will see immediate time with his hustle.

Grace, his school's all-time leading scorer at over 2,000 points, was an all-state selection and will be asked to put points on the board for the Tigers.

Sit back and enjoy as the Tigers from Sewanee continue to move ahead and march up the ladder as a team to be reckoned with in D3.

Across the state, same D3 conference, different area of the state, Ryan Van Hoeck (St. Benedict) will take his game and play for the LYNX of Rhodes College.

Meanwhile over in the TJCCAA, Columbia State and Roane State gathered a couple more in-state players.

Jay Joyner from Columbia State stayed close to home snatching up two from Summertown, Bubba Clifton (Summertown) and Eli Matthews (Summertown).

Over in East Tennessee, Coach Randy Nesbit welcomes two from Harriman into the Raiders den, Dimitrique Inman (Harriman) and Darius Gallaher (Harriman).
