More College Commitments Coming Your Way

The commitments keep rolling in and we have quite a few to bring you up to date with.

Sherrod Baldwin (Collierville) becomes the 27th player in the Class of 2008 to sign D1 as the Collierville guard chooses Big Sky Conference member Idaho State.

Exciting Memphis guard Malcolm Burton (Kirby) will attend Itawamba Junior College in Mississsippi.

State tourney participant Jared Stephens (Oak Ridge) takes his considerable talent down the road to play for Carson Newman College.

A couple of Class of 2008 players have been chosen as preferred walk-ons for their respective schools. Rob Murphy (Brentwood Academy) will walk-on at Lipscomb and Adam Barnes (Clarksville) will walk-on at Belmont.

The Scots of Maryville College bring a four pack into the fold with Wes Lambert (Maryville), Brad Finney (Page), Maverick Willett (McMinn County) and Corey Welch (William Blount) all ready to be members of  Coach Lamberts troops.

Stephen Dixon (Harpeth) takes his improving game down to play for Coach Pitts at King College.

Preston Laird (Germantown) has accepted an appointment for the Air Force Academy.

Kevin Holzer (Gatlinburg-Pittman) will play his college ball at Tennessee Temple.

Closing things out Melvin Brooks (Memphis Northside) will take his game down to Coahoma Junior College.
