Down in Chattanooga the CABC (Chattanooga Area Basketball Club) Fall League entered their final week at CSAS. Here are the results.
Vanderbilt 60
Michigan State 57
Blake McCloud (Bledsoe County) and Eric Hale (Bledsoe County) scored 12 points each as Vanderbilt knocked Michigan State from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 60-57 victory at the CABC in Chattanooga.
Tyler Byrd (Notre Dame) took game scoring honors in the loss with 20. Clynt Bell (Georgia) added 10 in the tough loss.
Michigan State finishes the fall league in a first place tie with Old Dominion at 4-1 but with a head to head victory over them should be declared the champion.
North Carolina 56
Chattanooga 52
Matt Clendenon (Baylor) dropped 16 markers as North Carolina edged Chattanooga 56-52 in CABC Fall League action at CSAS.
Chase Janow (Sale Creek) and Chauncey Alford (McCallie) pitched in with 8 apiece in the win.
The victory moves North Carolina to 3-2 on the season.
Teron Hayes (Chattanooga Central) led all scorers in a losing effort with 17 points.
Ezekial Balogun (Hamilton Heights) added 11 in the loss.
Old Dominion 60
Duke 38
Old Dominion bounced back from its first loss last week and blasted Duke from start to finish 60-38. Nathaniel Collins (Bledsoe County) took game high scoring honors in the victory with 14.
Laurynas Vaikus (Hamilton Heights) added 12 while Caleb Story (Georgia) finished with 10 in the victory.
Duke had no one in double digits but Justus McMillan (Booyd Buchanan) and Jaylen Smith (Georgia) finished with 9 in the loss.
