Michigan State Moves to the Top Spot at the CABC in Chattanooga

Down in Chattanooga the CABC (Chattanooga Area Basketball Club) Fall League entered their third week at CSAS. Here are the results.

 

North Carolina 63

Duke 61

 

Hank Norton (Georgia) notched 15 markers as North Carolina moved to 2-1 on the season with a narrow 63-61 victory over winless Duke.

Joining Norton in the scoring column were Jarek Boyd (Ooltewah) with 13, Amadeo Guissani (Baylor) with 12 and Q.D. Cox (Boyd Buchanan) with 11.

Jalen Smith (Georgia) took game high scoring honors with 19 in the loss.

Brandon Houston (CSAS) found the cozy confines of his home gym to his liking and finished with 13 markers himself.

 

 

Chattanooga 59

Vanderbilt 49

 

Silas Adheke (Hamilton Heights) led a trio of double digit warriors with 14 as Chattanooga moved to 2-1 on the year with an easy 59-49 win over 0-3 Vanderbilt.

Nick Moore (CSAS) finished with 13 while Rodney Benford (Chattanooga Central) added 11 in the win.

Chandler Abbott (Hixson) was the lone double digit scorer for Vanderbilt with 10.

 

 

Michigan State 68

Old Dominion 58

 

Four players notched double digit tallies as Michigan State knocked off Old Dominion 68-58 in the battle of the two unbeaten squads at the CABC in Chattanooga.  

Michigan State (3-0) was led by Dqwan Hardwick (Tyner Academy) and Tyler Byrd (Notre Dame) with 13 apiece while Devonte Jones (Tyner Academy) and Clynt Bell (Georgia) added 12 each for the victors.

Alec Rattanaxay (Georgia) led Old Dominion, who falls to 2-1, with 13 points.
