Memphis YOMCA Dominating Pool Play at 15’s Super Showcase

Want to prove how dominant the Memphis YOMCA 15's have been up to this point at the 15 and under Super Showcase in Orlando, then look no further than their average 29 points victory margin.

Making a mockery of pool play the YOMCA gets ready for Gold Bracket action tomorrow.

The other members of the Y pool had a hard dealing with the inside power of the trio of Nino Johnson (Melrose), Wayne Martin (Florida) and Myron Askew (Frayser). Johnson has been the talk thus far improving with every step he takes and every move he makes.

Guard play has always been a Memphis staple and this group is absolutely no exception led by Carell Davis (Hillcrest), Steve Kaspers (ECS) and combo wing Andre Hollins (White Station).

Davis has run the show, while Kaspers is knocking down bombs. Hollins continues to show why he is one of the top players in Class of 2011 nationwide.

Meanwhile the Tennessee Travelers came strong out of the gate but hit some pretty stiff competition to finish 1-2 in the pool play and are playing in the bronze bracket as we speak.

Galen Campbell (Bearden) has poured on the points finishing with 32 in the opening game victory followed by a 28 point effort in the latter defeat. Campbell is proving he's a legit top 10 player in the class statewide. Lester Wilson (Knoxville Carter) had a monster effort with 33 points in the pool play defeat while Brandon Lopez (Austin East) is averaging around 13 per and giving the scoring opps to his teammates.

Action contiues tonight and tomorrow and we will keep you psted.
