The first major stop in the ever expanding summer circuit is always the presitigous Boo Williams event in Hampton, Virginia.
The Memphis YOMCA 16's have taken full advantage of their opening action and have advanced to the tourney final four which will resume with action today.
Memphis swept pool play with vitories over Albany City Rocks, North carolina Raptors, and Team Odom. A win in the quarterfinal brings them to their semi-final clash against New Heights.
Overall team effort has been superb with extadorinary performances from Julian Burton (White Station), Rashad Harris (Raleigh-Egypt), Nick Mason (Fairley) and Ronald "Tank" Brown (Raleigh-Egypt).
The Memphis YOMCA 17's are also in attendance and have recieved solid work from Johnny Williams (Braircrest) and Ferrakohn Hall (White Station).
The Tennessee Travelers are represented in all three age groups and have competed very well thus far.
The 17's lost close game and were beset by some injuries to key players but recieved outstanding perfromances from Jalen Steele (Fulton), Steven Cool (Chattanooga Christian) and Robert Wade (Maplewood).
The Tarvelers 16's scored a huge wi against the Georgia Blazers .
The 15 and under squad was playing very well led by Galen Campbell (Bearden), Preston Vaught (Science Hill) and Brandon Lopez (Austin East).
