Memphis Rules AAA..Ridgeway vs The Station

An old adage was addressed today while sitting in the stands watching the action on Friday evening. If you can't beat the Memphis schools in the first round then your just plain out of luck.

White Station narrowly eascaped Oak Ridge and Ridgeway just got past Clarksville in the opening rounds but both squads made sure the jitters or rust or whatever you wanna call it was off as they rolled to semi-final wins on Friday.

White Station 77

Red Bank 59

Joe Jackson continued his monster state tourney scoring 34 points and spreading Spartan spirit all over the Murphy Center with a 77-59 slashing of Red Bank.

Jackson was hot from the jump knocking down three and continuing his perfect tourney at the foul line. The "Real Thing" is 20-20 from the line thus far.

Playing in only his third game back Ferrakohn Hall finsihed with 9 points but grabbed 15 boards. Freshman Andre Hollins finished with 10 markers for The Station.

Tim Benford led the Lions with 19 points and 15 boards. Red Bank finished the season at 27-8.

Ridgeway 66

Siegel 46

UTEP signee Jason Jones was dominant on this evening scoring 24 points and his classmate Sampson Carter added 15 as Ridgeway rolled the Stars of Siegel 66-46 to advance to the tile game against district foe White Station.

Jones scored from inside and outside and made his case for Mr. Basketball on this evening.

Tyler Cutter ended the evening with 10 and brought to a close one of the most entertaining players I have had the pleasure of watching throughout his four years on the scene. Thanks for the memories.
