McClanahan Shines in Game of the Week Results

Lonnie McClanahan (Oak Ridge) nailed two free throws in the second overtime as Oak Ridge outlasted Fulton 68-66.

A great game that went down to the wire after a first half controlled by Fulton and senior guard Jaeland Lawson (Fulton) with 15 points at the break.

McClanahan began his assault on the bucket in the second half and the game went back and forth with Galen Campbell (Fulton) scoring 16 of his 20 points in the final stanza.

Tied at 57 in regulation, Campbell drove to the bucket and converted the tough shot but was called for the offensive foul, giving him five fouls and leaving the Falcons without their top scorer.

The teams traded buckets in the first overtime and Lawson's game winner rimmed in and out, so 60 all heading heading into the second extra frame.

Oak Ridge got consecutive buckets from McClanahan and a big three from Treviz Smith (Oak Ridge) to forge a 66-60 lead.

Matt Queener (Fulton) nailed a corner three and Lawson duplicated the feat a short time later knotting it up again at 66 before McClanahan was fouled and converted the charity tosses.

McClanahan finished with 28 points.

Lawson and Campbell both tallied 20 for the Falcons.
