Mays and Sullivan……Add Their Names to the D1 List

Two of the late blooming stars in the Memphis area got to live their hoops dreams this past week signing D1 scholarships and becoming the 21st and 22nd players in the Class of 2011 to join this elite club.

Phillip Mays (Wooddale) and Kadorian Sullivan (Southwind) added their names to D1 equation signing with Air Force and Florida International respectively.

Mays, who averaged around 21 points per game this past season, had an outstanding senior campaign highlighted by his selection as the MVP of the ever tough 15AAA district.

Mays was an exemplary young man both on and off the court for Wooddale and will bring a players mentality into the Mountain Conference for the surging Falcons coached by Jeff Reynolds.

Sullivan helped Southwind to an outstanding season and will bring athleticism and a bright future into the fold for the Panthers and Coach Isiah Thomas, a former NBA great.

The Panthers play in the very tough Sun Belt conference.
