Martin Mitchell (CBHS) will be a Reddie.
What is a Reddie you ask. The nickname for Henderson State a DII school in Arkansas will play home for Mitchell for the next four years. Mitchell, a Mr. Basketball finalist in DII, will join the Gulf South Conference squad with intentions of making an immediate impact.
Not to be outdone by his counterparts down the road at Walter's State, Jay Price put the finishing touches on a deep and talented class of his own at Chattanooga State.
Price invaded Memphis, Manassas in particular, before garbbing a couple players in the Nashville area to conclude his masterful restocking plan. While in Memphis, Price got signatures from Shawn Kearney (Manassas), Roy McFagdon (Manassas) and Eric Atkins (Manassas).
In Nashville he got Tony Whitlow (Hillsboro), Marcus Jefferson (LaVergne) and Michael Williams (Antioch) to sign the dotted line.
Closer to home Southwest Tennessee JC grabbed a local product in the only remaining member of the senior class at Manassas. Derrick Richards (Manassas) will join venerable coach Verties Sailes and the Saluquies.
