Marberry Drops 45 as TPH Nashville Fall League Resumes

Action got back underway in Nashville as Week #3 of the Tennessee Prep Hoops Nashville Fall League tipped back off at CPA. Here are the results of the day's action.

 

 

Kentucky 72

Tennessee 67

Jacob Saunders (Cheatham County) led all scorers with 20 points as Kentucky raised their season mark to 2-1 with a hard fought 72-67 victory over Tennessee. Saunders was assisted in the score book by Jalen Duke (MLK) with 14 and Makinda London (Summitt) with 10.

Tennessee who fell to 0-3 placed four players in double digits including Tanner Newton (Harpeth) with 18, newcomer Hunter Nelson (Franklin) with 16, Chance Bouldin (FRA) with 15 and Matt Hargreaves (Franklin) with 10.

Tennessee will take on LSU (1-2) this Saturday at CPA while Kentucky puts their 2-1 mark on the line against cross division foe Georgia Tech.  

 

 

Clemson 105

Georgia Tech 54

Carson Outlaw (DCA) and Braxton Bonds (CPA) scored 28 and 25 points respectively leading Clemson to a 105-54 win over Georgia Tech. The win keeps Clemson unbeaten at 3-0. Daniel Norl (Kenwood) added 15 in the victory and incoming freshman Kenny Cooper (FRA) added 13 in the win.

Jacob McCullough (Hendersonville) was the lone double digit scorer for Georgia Tech who falls to 0-3 on the season. McCullough finished with 16 in the loss.

Clemson puts their unblemished record on the line this week against Wake Forest who stands at 2-1 on the young season. Georgia Tech will tangle with cross division nemesis Kentucky.

 

 

LSU 98

Vanderbilt 57

Rob Marberry (FRA) exploded for 45 markers as LSU snatched their first victory of the young campaign with a 98-57 win over Vanderbilt. Marberry was joined in the scoring column by Trenton Perry (Indepenedence) with 20 and Ross Plunkett (Creek Wood) with 14 points.

Vanderbilt suffered their first loss of the season but placed five players in double digits including Elijah Gonzales (Brentwood) with 18, Austin Gee (Ezell-Harding) and Chase Hawkins (Ravenwood) with 14, Leon Howard (Nashville Overton) with 11 and Chas Jones (Cane Ridge) with 10.

LSU looks to continue their winning ways as they battle Tennessee (0-3) this Saturday. Vanderbilt will be looking to get back on the winning track as they tussle with Florida (1-2).

 

 

Duke 69

Wake Forest 58

Jake Allsmiller (CPA) scored 17 and Kindravious Webster (Hillsboro) finished with 15 as Duke pushed their seasonal mark to 2-1 with a narrow 69-58 victory over Wake Forest. Devin Connor (Cheatham County) added 12 in the victory.

Wake Forest suffered their first blemish and falls to 2-1 despite 25 large from Jacob Williams (Wilson Central). Rising freshman sensation Ross Cummings (Creek Wood) added 12 in his league debut.

Wake Forest will be back in action this Saturday against unbeaten Clemson while Duke looks to improve their 2-1 record as they battle North Carolina.  

 

 

North Carolina 70

Florida 60

Terry Holt (East Literature) led four teammates in double digits with 18 as North Carolina moved to 2-1 with a hard fought 70-60 win over Florida.

Holt was joined in the scoring column by Liam Nash (USN) with 15, Clay Hertel (DCA) with 14 and Mason Bates (Cheatham County) with 11.

Jalen Lindsey (CPA) led all scorers with 19 on the day followed closely by Rollie Plunkett (Creek Wood) with 16.

North Carolina puts their 2-1 record on the line as they tangle with Duke. Florida will meet Vanderbilt in action this Saturday at CPA.
