Lindsey is Huge as TPH Nashville Fall League Tips Off

Week #1 for the Tennessee Prep Hoops Nashville Fall League went off without a hitch as the action was solid and the games very competitive at CPA this past Saturday.

 

Vanderbilt 84

Tennessee 73

Jalen Lindsey (CPA) got things started with a very loud burst scoring 44 points in the opening game of the Tennessee Prep Hoops Nashville Fall League this past Saturday. The rising sophomore was 14 of 21 from the field and helped lift his Vanderbilt squad to a nice 84-73 win over Tennessee.

 

Joining Lindsey in the scoring column, Jeff Long (Hendersonville) finished with 15 points and J.J. Embry (Nashville Christian) added 11 points in the opening game victory.

 

Billy Hughes (Hunter's Lane) was top man for Tennessee with 13 points. Kyle Weldon (Rossview), Mason Delatour (Pearl Cohn) and Yalen Reed (Lighthouse Christian) all chipped in with 12 points apiece in the loss.

 

 

Kentucky 86

Florida 76

Josh Erickson (DCA) and Rob Marberry (FRA) each scored 25 points leading Kentucky to an 86-76 victory over a determined Florida squad.

 

Brandon Weed (Camden Central) added 12 points in the victory.

 

Belmont commitment Caleb Chowbay (Mt. Juliet) led Florida with 18 points followed closely by Easton Cline (Station Camp) and Robert Jarmon (White's Creek) with 14 points and Chance Bouldin (FRA) with 12.

 

 

Wake Forest 77

LSU 64

Brad McClung (Station Camp) led a balanced scoring attack with 19 points and lifted Wake Forest to a 77-64 opening game victory over LSU.

 

Micah Farmer (MTCS) played strong adding 15 points in the win. Austin Brown (Harpeth) and Tays Robertson (Loretto) each chipped in with 12 for Wake Forest.

 

Cayman Dial (LaVergne) was high man for LSU with 18 points. Ben Williams (White's Creek), Jacob Saunders (Cheatham County) and Malcolm St. Louis (Wilson Central) all contributed 11 points apiece in the loss.

 

 

Clemson 67

Duke 62

Donya Burnett (Riverdale) played strong finishing with 16 points and leading Clemson past Duke 67-62.

 

Patrick Mullinicks (McEwen) added 15 in the victory.

 

Jordan Bedwell (White House-Heritage) led Duke with 14 points. He was assisted in the scorebook by Omari Moore (Pearl Cohn) with 13 points and Austin Gee (Ezell-Harding) with 11.

 

 

North Carolina 90

Georgia Tech 89

In what would be one of the most competitive games of the day, balanced scoring was the key as 5 North Carolina players reached double digits led by Coleman Spann (CPA) with 15 points as NC downed Georgia Tech 90-89.

 

The balanced effort offset a nice scoring effort from Belmont commitment Craig ‘The Professor" Bradshaw (CPA), who finished with 33 points.

 

Joining the aforementioned Spann in the scoring docket were Dee Oldham (Wilson Central) with 14 points, Joshua Joy (DCA) and Tyler Soffiantino 9Wilson Central) with 12 points each and Stephen McQueen (Fairview) who managed 11 in the win.

 

Tom Kaiser (MBA) had a fine effort in the close loss finishing with 23 points.
