Once again I have scoured the newspapers, faxes, face books and other forms of media that come to my attention compiling a list of the top scorers in the state for each week of the season.
If you know of some scoring exploits or a scoring milestone such as 1,000 point club or something of that nature please email me at andre@tnprephoops.com and I will get this added to the next week's story.
College coaches have told me this is one of their favorite features as it helps them get an understanding on the pulse of the new season.
Weather affected the scheduling all around the state so this week's list is shorter than most have been thus far.
Jalen Lindsey (CPA) achieved a true milestone becoming the all-time leading scorer in CPA history. The rising junior is standing on 2,135 points.
Marcus Taylor (University) had an explosive week in upper East Tennessee. The rising senior guard erupted for 31 points in a victory over Happy Valley then closed the week adding another 30 spot against KACHEA.
Kessler Bell (FRA) inked his name in the record books as the rising senior force surpassed the 1,000 point barrier for his career this past week.
Lance Crismond (Coffee County) may not be a name everyone knows but if you've read the scoring leaders list before you surely recognize him. The rising senior guard had a special outing scoring 34 points against Cumberland County.
Andrew Millsaps (Sequoyah) had his best week ever. The senior dropped 29 in a win over Carter early in the week then exploded for another 29 in a big upset victory over state ranked McMinn Central.
Jake Allsmiller (CPA) keeps reigning threes on the hardwood and the junior wing made headlines this past week pushing past the 1,000 point barrier for his young career.
Jonathan Starks (Munford) had a brilliant game scoring 25 points and leading the Cougars past state ranked Dyer County.
Dedric Lawson (Hamilton) and his brother, Keelon Lawson (Hamilton), have the Wildcats of Hamilton HS flying very high. They pushed themselves in the state rankings with sic efforts including Dedric's 41 against White Station, Keelon's 31 against Memphis East and Dedric's 26 in the same contest.
