Jalen Steele (Fulton) was selected as Mr. Basketball for Class AA during the ceremonies held directly following the championship game.
He was chosen over a pair of juniors in Lester Wilson (Carter) and Kedren Johnson (Marshall County).
The Auburn signee put together a stellar high school career winning two state championships and recieving every district and region MVP nomination that existed for te past four seasons.
Jalen has been a competitor and one of the best players to come through the Knoxville area in many years.
I have truly enjoyed getting to know him and consider him my friend and wish him nothing but success in whichever direction his basketball career will take him.
