Indians Finish HoopFeast 3-0

The final day of the Wazzo Sports Hoop Feast brought us one of the best games of the week. The Indians of Dobyns Bennett absorbed a furious Knoxville Central rally to finish the HoopFeast unblemished and came away with a 75-68 win.

Jordan Edwards (Dobyns Bennett) dropped 18 and Dustin McConnell (Dobyns Bennett) added 16 to lead the Indians. Three other Indians finished in double figures including Ashlon Adams (Dobyns Bennett) and Adam Denison (Dobyns Bennett) with 11 and Todd Halvorsen (Dobyns Bennett) with 10.

Brett Wade (Knoxville Central) led the Bobcats with 18 and rising sophomore Dre Matthieu (Knoxville Central) added 16.

DB finished the event with wins against Farragut, Siegel and the aforementioned Bobcats.

Chris Smith (Science Hill) and Josh Odom (Science Hill) scored 25 and 24 respectively to lead the Hilltoppers to a 81 to 70 win against Siegel. Marc Gooch (Siegel) led the Stars with 15.

In the finale, Sam Watson (Farragut) scored 22 and led the Admirals of Farragut to a 65-29 victory over an undermanned Alcoa squad. Freshman Matt Shown (Alcoa) led the Tornadoes with 10, who are still playing without numerous players still on the gridiron.

While no MVP was chosen, there was an all-tournament team and they are as follows:
